Book Review #18: Beneath The Surface

Book review: Beneath the Surface by Jo Spain (published 2015)

Format: audiobook (from Audible) narrated by Aoife McMahon

Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GR summary:
A high-ranking government official called Ryan Finnegan,  a political adviser for the Minister, is brutally slain in the most secure building in Ireland – Leinster House, the seat of parliament. Inspector Tom Reynolds and his team are called in to uncover the truth behind the murder.

This is the second book in the ‘Inspector Tom Reynolds’ series and there’s no turning back for me!
I thought this would be too political for me, but nope, like House of Cards and Designated Survivor – it’s just perfect👌
(or maybe deep down I do love a bit of politics and don’t realise it?). Anyway, next time I go to Ireland,
I’ll definitely be stopping by at Leinster House!

Ahh.. I am thoroughly enjoying my commute these days because I have Tom Reynolds waiting!! Already halfway through the third book now 🤗

PS: I am trying this after a friend’s recommendation, so bear with me! I’ve not made any money yet but I may one day earn a small commission through this affiliate link.. So if you’re feeling charitable and would like to buy this book, kindly use this amazon link at no extra cost to you!
