One of the top-Rated Small Town in England – Haworth

Hi friends,

Have you ever been to Haworth?

Welcome to a slightly different blogpost! Today I’ll be sharing my first Youtube video here, on my blog. I’ve always loved Haworth and have been there more than a couple times. Mainly famous for the home of the Brontë sisters, there are actually a lot more you can do at Haworth. For a lovely day trip, checkout my video for things to do at Haworth or skip straight down to the succinct list 🙂

Things to do in Haworth:

1. Get a ride on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway.

The KWVR is a heritage line that runs steam and diesel trains for 5 miles across the West Yorkshire. We took a quick ride from Haworth to Oakworth and back. Learn more here.

2. Haworth Central Park

The park is small but definitely worth a visit or at least a walk through!

3. Walk up (or down) the Main Street – this is the highlight, for your insta-perfect photos.

a. Enjoy the Main St view for a few minutes. Go on, take that amazing profile shot! And then, head down to..
b. Cloth Store No. 81. Nope, this is not a clothing store – it’s a cute hipster cafe. We had some lovely cakes and coffee here. Make sure to try them out yourself!
c. Oh La La Vintage Shop
d. The Cabinet of Curiosities – my absolute favourite. It’s a gorgeous little soap/candle/bath products shop that used to be a Victorian apothecary. The family that runs this business restored it to look like what it used to be with beautiful cabinets and antiques – you have to go, at least for a photo if not for their amazing candles (I’ve bought a few over the years!).

4. The Bronte Graves

5. St Michael and All Angels’ Church

6. Haworth Old School Room

7. The Bronte Parsonage Museum

The museum is run by the Brontë Society. At the moment, admission is through pre-booked tickets. The last time I visited, buying the ticket once means admission for the whole year. For more up-to-date info, click here.

8. Bronte Way and Waterfall
I’ve been told many times of this visually amazing circular walk from the Parsonage along the Brontë Way to the Brontë Waterfall and then up to Top Withens. Unfortunately, I am yet to embark on this walk!

So, wait are you waiting for? Plan your visit now!
