Okay. So last weekend, a couple of friends and I went for a short trip to Inverness, Scotland. I’ll write a separate post on planning a trip / what to do in Inverness so check that out too. This blog post is specifically for the cottage that we stayed in whilst in Inverness.

I booked Sofia’s cottage mainly because of how pretty it looks from the photos on the Airbnb listing. If only I had read the reviews on the site, I would’ve signed up for this place sooner! Located in Kirkhill, Inverness, it was one of the loveliest little cottage I’ve been to and with THE BEST views.

This beautiful cottage ticks all my boxes for a perfect getaway:
✅ Hidden away in a quiet location
✅ Not too far from the city (20 mins drive to Inverness city centre)
✅ Simple and cozy with amazing decor (and an indoor log burner!)
✅ Sunset view from the living room window?! Yes!
✅ Idyllic views to wake up to and while showering too
✅ A nearby loch to swim in (it is part of their farm)
✅ Lots of walking trails nearby (absolutely adored the Reelig Glen!)
✅ Breathtaking starry night sky (we took our picnic mat, blankets and some pillows and laid down on the front yard for an hour or so of stargazing every night)

And to sum this up, check out my short tiktok video of the cottage 🙂
My friends and I enjoyed every second of our stay at Sofia’s cottage. Worth every penny, period. Make sure to click here and check it out yourself if you’re planning to visit the area!
